"After our daily labors, let us gather in conversation about the heart. It will lead us through the earthly domains to the Subtle World and thereby bring us closer to the realm of Fire." Heart, preface.
It is important to realize that meditation is an instrument for both good and for true spiritual advancement. Though most begin meditation - and yoga, for that matter - with self-centered interest, true meditation is a discipline for evolving the mind as a functional link (a "wormhole in consciousness", if you will) to higher realms of consciousness - other dimensions that are inhabited by Those Who have made right use of meditation. The following teachings seeks to impart this concept.

"No one teaches how to discipline the mind, and no one cares to develop the imagination, but without these wings it is impossible to soar to the higher spheres. One should know that there is a realm where purified thoughts reign. One should realize how beautiful is the path to this realm, where thoughts become feelings. Earthly hearts can respond to those benevolent, purifying thoughts and sense their creative grace.

"May we make our earthly life full, and, not missing a single moment, achieve a fullness of being that can be defined as exaltation or spiritualization. Such a state of mind transforms one's whole life.

"Thus let the smallest sign be reflected in your heart and remember that on the far-off mountains you have Friends who care for you and labor for you." Supermundane I, para. 110

Doing meditations are cool but the feeling of it after is cooler. I have been doing yoga for how many months now and it has been very helpful for me. I can now manage myself more and adjust to some stressful situations. Meditations can really calm our minds and release our stress which creates a positive vibe for us. Thank you enlightening us on this topic.
