"After our daily labors, let us gather in conversation about the heart. It will lead us through the earthly domains to the Subtle World and thereby bring us closer to the realm of Fire." Heart, preface.

Behind all sincere religions - and significantly, spiritual tendency - stands aspiration.  The word "aspiration" has its root in "aspire" (explore definition and origins here.) Aspiration is essentially a "breathing toward." Through varying intensity of aspiration comes relative achievement of the "aspired to" goal. That is to say, the greater the aspiration, the greater the realization of that to which one aspires. Moreover, the greater the quality of aspiration, the quicker the achievement.

We can aspire to anything and eventually achieve it, so long as the aspiration remains steady and strong, i.e. persistent. The root of aspiration is "the breath."  When we aspire to some goal, we "breathe into it" our energy. This is simple in its concept but also "elegant" precisely because of its simplicity. Its simplicity would seem, at first glance, to belie its potency. Yet precisely the opposite is true: simplicity of aspiration, when true and accurate, produces precipitation of that aspired for. The challenge is to find the correct thread of aspiration. The more that goal or thread is "in synchrony" with the spiral and flow of Planetary Life, the more potent the simplicity of the aspiration.

Herein lies the great challenge for Humanity - to find the correct collective aspiration in order to unify all effort, large/global and small/local, to bring Humanity into the Spiritual Age of the New (New) World Order of brotherhood and sharing. It is no dim ideal to strive for. It "simply" takes an "elegant" and therefore simple focus that can apply to Pan-Humanity and is "in sync" with the Life of the Planet. The Heart of Humanity is a simple goal to aspire toward in achieving synchrony, for the collective - incoporated - Heart of Humanity can quickly become "in sync" with the Planetary Heart. Truly, "as (hu)man thinks in his heart, so is he."

Fortunately for us, there exist Those Who have learned to contact and work within - and actually shift Their consciousness to BE - the Planetary Heart. It is this Heart with which the collective Human Heart can become "in sync." While They are known by many names down through the ages, they can be known simply as the Brotherhood of Light. They exist to aid Humanity's aspiration to the Common Good. They do battle daily with the Brothers of the Dark Path that seek to divide and keep separate and extinguish Love within Humanity.

The excerpt below gives insight into the role of the Heart in its connecting and relating function between Humanity and the Brotherhood. As you read and ponder on the passage, seek to feels its "rightness" within your own heart. There is hope, and "Remember...Hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies." "The Shawshank Redemption"

"Merging into the waves of the Infinite, we may be compared to flowers torn away by a storm. How shall we find ourselves transfigured in the ocean of the Infinite?
"It would be unwise to send out a boat without a rudder. But the Pilot is predestined and the creation of the heart will not be precipitated into the abyss. Like milestones on a luminous path, the Brothers of Humanity, ever alert, are standing on guard, ready to lead the traveler into the chain of ascent.
"Hierarchy is not coercion, it is the law of the Universe. It is not a threat, but the call of the heart and a fiery admonition directing toward the General Good.
"Thus, let us cognize the Hierarchy of Light.

"How to transmute the most bitter into the most sweet? Naught save Hierarchy will transform life into a higher consciousness.
"It is impossible to imagine a bridge into the Infinite, because a bridge is in need of abutments. But Hierarchy, like the abutments of a bridge, brings one to the shore of Light. And imagine the entire effulgence that the eyes behold! And understand the Song of Light.
"Let us labor for Light and Hierarchy!" Hierarchy, preface

This post made me remember this book Humanity: A Celebration of Friendship, Family, Love & Laughter by Geoff Blackwell. This is a very interesting book that I used when I had my report in our Values Education class in school. This book does show how humanity serves as the key for treasured relationships, of happiness and kinship, too.

Thank you for this inspirational post. I think it's nearly impossible for all of humanity to just set aside their differences and work together in harmony for the better future. People are too arrogant, ignorant, and apathetic to care for others, especially those who are too radicalized by their belief. There are too much evil and terrible in the world for all of us to just pause and live in harmony. But that doesn't mean I don't wish for that to happen.
